A new favourite, this mousse is similar to Famous Dave’s in the sense that it gives you a deep, golden colour and it also lasts 4-5 days. It didn’t fade as evenly as others, but that’s nothing that a bit of regular exfoliating can’t rectify. A nice slant is that it’s Paraben free for those who prefer no nasties, but the good news is that it doesn’t compromise on performance. Music to my deeply tanned ears.
Cult product alert! Even though it is darker than most mousses available on the market, Famous Dave’s new Gold Edition has totally taken the tanning world by storm. The results are amazing and one of the longest lasting I have found for a mousse, which is 4-5 days. A deep and golden colour, it suits more medium and dark Tantones but it fades really well. This is a big hit with the girls at Grazia and I can see why.
One of the original foaming mousse tans available, it is St. Tropez’s best-seller. Very easy to apply, it has a colour guide so you can see which areas of skin have been covered. It develops over the course of the day but still looks great, which allowed me to wear it out that night. The colour was very natural like most of St. Tropez’s products and I can see why it has such a devout following. Prepare to get a lot of compliments – I did. It faded after 3 days but faded evenly.
This product is different to other mousses as it’s in a tub and not in a pump. When applied to the skin it goes on clear and has a satin finish, which reflects light and allows you to wear the product straight out. I found this product easy to apply but as it does not have a colour guide it is super important to map out the body in stages so you remember where you have applied. The colour is very natural and golden, and has a surprisingly great fragrance of peach with a hint of almond. Ideal for people with light Tantones, if you want to go darker apply a second layer on day two. In terms of longevity, it lasted 3-4 days and faded really well. Result.
