Do you use self-tan?

I’m a once a year kind of girl so as the sun comes up and I have to peel off the layers and reveal my pasty, winter-worn skin before i’ve achieved some natural colour. It’s usually about Easter I delve in.

What tanning brands do you swear by?

Despite my many years of experience I’m still scared of anything too dark so if I’m doing it myself I tend to go for the gradual moisturising tanners. I’m trialing the Clinque Self Sun Moisturiser right now but also rate Garnier’s Summer body Moistursing Lotion as a purse-friendly option and for legs Lancome Flash Bronzer is always a fail-safe. For the face I’d go with Clarins Radiance Plus Golden Glow Cream-Gel.

Which make-up brands do you use?

My makeup bag is in constant flux due to the nature of our job and not being able to resist any new goodies. Right now I’m using Bobbi Brown Natural Foundation, Max Factor Flash lash Effect Mascara, Lancome Juicy Tube, and Benefit’s SugarBomb blush powder.

Do you use bronzers to enhance a tan and if so which brands?

I’m mourning the loss of Prescriptives and thier super subtle Glow-on Powder which was very light tan powder and more subtle than a bronzer. I’ve replaced it with Benefit’s SugarBomb – the super fine luminescent powder gives an instant inner glow to skin and it has a hint of peach/pink which lifts a base tan.

Do you feel tanning has become more fashionable?

I don’t think tanning is in or out of fashion this season – it’s down to the individual’s choice. Interestingly pale seemed to be the preference on the red carpet at the moment. Personally I think a super subtle golden glow is the most chic if opting for a tan.

Have you found a big rise in tanning with you readers at Instyle?

I think you’re either a tanner or you’re not. For those who are ‘tanners’ they’re always seeking the latest, newest products so we’re keen to help in their quest to achieve the perfect bronze.

Name one make up accessory you can’t live without?

Bright fuschia lipstick – I’m lusting after Tom Ford entire new collection (the colours and divine) and the texture of Revlon’s new Colour Burst lipstick makes bright easy to wear even for a gloss girl like me.

Name one fashion item accessory you could not be without?

I’m lusting after a Chanel Ultra ring right now – sadly I don’t own one yet but hope to soon.
